We deployed end-to-end solution to bring domestic consumption and leakage alerts at a fraction of the cost of traditional meter reading.
Our partnership with Portsmouth Water will enable their customers to access water consumption and potential leaks daily. Spotting changes in flow this way means that leaks to be repaired quickly – at present an underground water leak may not be identified for months until a meter reading is due.
Portsmouth Water is the first Water Company in the UK to embrace the use IOT technology to provide Smart Metering and improve its service to customers.
Water companies have been told by the Government that they must reduce leakage by 370 million litres a day within two years and our goal is to ensure Portsmouth Water can reduce leakage levels and reduce costs and bills to their customers.
We have built 45 sites across Portsmouth Water’s supply area to transmit the data in real time. These sites cover an area of 800 sq. km/300 sq. miles.
