Surrey Heath Borough Council commissionED US to improve THEIR water quality, reduce THEIR carbon footprint and deliver savings after completing A successful trial.
Surrey Heath Borough Council’s digital strategy was handed a boost with us signing MoU to deliver IoT capability that will benefit residents across the borough. Delivering on the themes of place and performance, SHBC identified legionella monitoring would benefit from IoT by increasing safety and removing manual effort. The Return-on-Investment delivers payback in 6 months. SHBC save £38,000 p.a. in salary, transport and back-office support costs.
We were chosen to deliver data technologies connecting water systems. Sensors on pipes connect wirelessly over Sigfox IoT, the data analysed in our software platform PROG. Trial results returned 99.5% reliability, even from challenging under-sink or plant room locations.
“Digital Transformation goes to the heart of our Five-Year Strategy to deliver on our business objectives and IoT is a key capability. We are delighted new IoT technology delivers so reliably and cost-effectively. We are working with B4T to advance Surrey Heath’s use of IoT to deliver on other areas of our services.”
Sam Marshall, Surrey Heath Borough Council
THE SMART THING WE DELIVERED
Wavetrend’s water temperature monitor enables businesses to cost effectively meet their statutory obligations to provide healthy water and safe supply systems.
The emmergence of IOT technology has created a storm of assumptions and myths. Our aim is to pull back the curtain and demonstrate the real world applications and opportunities IOT offers. What better way to do this than to bring our busines to the high street.
